HUGE support for the Railway Bell!

HUGE thank you to all supporters and local residents and heritage groups for support for the Railway Bell!

Following a public meeting on 16th March, with residents, local groups, CAMRA and local Cllr Banton and with support from our MP Helen Hayes, Friends of the Railway Bell was formed! And our first local the shout on out social media has been absolutely incredible to stop plans to demolish this very special back street pub (to object, click here now! )

We’ve had over 16,000+ views in less than 2 days to support the Railway Bell… and the Victorian Society (and on Instagram) are on the case supporting us that has really boosted interest. They were super quick to comment “Hello – we’ve retweeted your post about the Bell. Because the building isn’t listed we might not have been officially notified by the Council about the application for demolition. Now passed to our caseworker.”

Other supporters include Royal Fine Art Commission Trust and SAVE Britain’s Heritage “🔔The 19th century Railway Bell is much loved by the community and locally listed by Lambeth Council. Let’s save it! Submit your objections before 11 April 🚨”
