We are local residents who came together to save this much loved local pub. We call a public meeting and by huge support it was agreed we should for a local community group.. and so the Friends of the Railway Bell was formed!
The key aims of the group are:
- SAVE THE PUB building and heritage and community uses!
- To improve and maintain its environment, facilities, and appearance that the pub supports locally.
- To encourage community involvement, volunteering, and participation in local activities to support these aims.
- To support initiatives that benefit the local community and preserve local heritage.
- To support viable ways to sustain the pub and its community infrastructure at the site.
- To work with local authorities, organisations, and stakeholders to achieve these aims
